   One thing I’d like to point out is that everyone is freaking out about this, but let’s face it. River Song can not be Madame Kovarian. We’ve seen River die and then get younger, so we know she can’t get as old as Madame Kovarian. Anyone checked her lipstick though? Could be hallucinogenic.

   I think she’s impersonating Madame Kovarian for some Totally Awesome Purpose That Will Save The Day.

   Maybe she just likes eyepatches? I’d wear random weird stuff if given the chance. That’s what I thought when I saw the trailer.

   I thought perhaps the Doctor & co. are unable to rescue babyRiver until she’s no longer a babychild, and she wears the eyepatch as part of her given purpose… I dunno how well that fits with the Doctor just dropping by one day and chatting her up, but it could fit. Potentially.

   What if Madame Kovarian is River’s first incarnation, This could be, like, immediately post-regeneration, and that’s why she has the patch.

   I don’t actually believe that. But if it happens, let it be known that I thought of it.

   We did not see River die. EVER.
